Meet the Staff
Bonnae Meshulam, Executive Director, came out of retirement in August of 2012 to head the Boys and Girls Club of Westminster. After 28 years as the President of Junior Achievement of Central Maryland and Western New York, she brought with her an expertise in the field of non-profits and a desire to aid the youth of our community. She is excited to use her skill set to enrich the lives of members of the Boys and Girls Club and effect change. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, bungee jumping (even though her husband is too scared and won’t come with her), and the occasional round of golf.
Amy Moorman, Program Director has worked in the Child Development field for over 10 years. Her background includes working as the Assistant Director at the Emmitsburg Early Learning Center, managing programs for children ages 2-13. Amy has Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in photography and painting. She loves sharing her talents with youth. Amy is excited to work with the children and families at the Boys & Girls Club to help them uncover their true talents and become their best self.
Erin Bishop, Marketing Director, has a background working in the sales, marketing, and human resources field. She served for 3 years as Chairman of the Community Advisory Council of Carroll County where she acted as a liaison between the Board of Education and the community to educate and inform citizens on issues critical to education within the Carroll County Public Schools System. Erin is excited to share her experience with the Boys & Girls Club by encouraging others to learn more about the Club and the wonderful opportunities it provides for kids in the Westminster community.
Director of Operations
Sean Davis, Director of Operations, is no stranger to the Boys & Girls Club. He returned to the organization in October after working for the Y in Central MD for 4 years. Sean is seasoned professional with particular strength in strategy, operations, p & l management, and leadership development. He is excited to help build a culture/program that will impact kids in the community he grew up in. In his spare time, he enjoys talking hoops, training, and spending time with his family – Ashli, Ty, and Cru.
Debbie Leazer, Development Director, has a background in fundraising, alumni relations, event planning and donor recognition and stewardship. After 23 years in Institutional Advancement at McDaniel College, Debbie decided to establish a consulting business that assisted MedStar Washington Hospital and The Historical Society of Carroll County. When approached by the Boys & Girls Club of Westminster to assist with their Campaign fundraising efforts to build a new Club and Gymnasium that would serve 600 children in our community, she jumped at the opportunity.
Debbie is excited to share her experience in fundraising, event planning and friend-raising to establish relationships in the Community that will build volunteer and gift support for the Club.
