Teen Leadership Programs

Great futures start here.
It is simple to talk about Leadership, but Boys & Girls Clubs of Carroll County takes an active role in creating leaders.

Our dynamic teen programs provide valuable leadership and service experience that equips our teens with the passion to make a difference in the world around them.

Friday Night Teen Nights are a Club favorite. The Club stays open until 10:00 PM and gives Teens a safe place to hang out with friends, make music in the recording studio or play in the open gym!

EXPERIENCE THE POWER OF A NATURAL HIGH!

When young people find their true passions — those activities that uplift, motivate, and inspire them — and are supported in these choices by family, friends, school, and community, they are more likely to avoid drugs and alcohol. The mission of our Natural High program is to inspire and empower our youth to find their Natural High and develop the skills and courage to live life well. Check out our Natural High video stories.

Leaders in Training/ Junior Staff

Each year a select group of teens are chosen to participate in the Leaders in Training Program. This program resembles a “Leadership Bootcamp” helping teens develop leadership skills working as counselors at BGCCC Summer Camp, learn about career opportunities and participate in a 9-week strength and conditioning program. The program is designed to build endurance and push the teens outside their comfort zone to make them realize that they can conquer difficult obstacles.

Youth of the Year

Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Club’s premier recognition program, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club members. Each year, one exceptional young person from a Boys & Girls Club rises to the role of National Youth of the Year. The Youth of the Year serves as both an exemplary ambassador for Boys & Girls Club youth and as a strong voice for all of our young people.
